- Warrior Workshop - Find Strength & Stability in Alignment - Warrior I, II & III Pose Breakdown

Protect your knees and build strength and stability with these crucial standing poses. Warrior I, II, & III spawned from ancient Indian warriors, who relied on the strength of their thighs and hips in battle. These fierce postures are still useful today, even if it’s not to thrust a sword. Have you heard the expression ‘use your legs not your back’? There are many activities in our everyday lives where these poses come in useful: climbing up and down stairs, lifting a load of laundry, or even bending your knees to lift a child. Equally important, strong thighs and hips can help protect your knees from wear and tear, arthritis, or injury. Strengthening the quads and hip muscles with these fundamental yoga poses will support your knees in their optimal alignment, while simultaneously training your body to support postures that require more flexibility.

- Getting Comfortable On Your Hands & Upside Down - Headstand - Arm Balance Workshop

Inversion poses challenge you to become your most present, available and bad-ash self. More so than any of the other types of asana, inversions and arm balances require focus, stamina, strength and confidence. You need to be seen by an instructor and given individual feedback. Overcoming fear of being upside down is the first step. This workshop is open to all levels. This safe and comfortable environment is where you will be met exactly where your skill level is at and you will be given the tools you need to progress at your level. Discover how to approach inversions with ease, grace, and power. You will learn tricks for kicking up to the wall, balancing without the wall, opening your shoulders, boosting your confidence, and connecting to your playful spirit. Ashley will break down the fundamentals of forearm stand, headstand and shoulder stand, along with variations. We will also explore different arm balance (and variations) like crow and firefly, where you can approach it with great ease and mindfulness.
