Voice is intimately connected to the inner self; its state reveals the emotions. When I experience happiness, fear, anxiety or relief, my speaking voice reflects that emotion. I, in turn can use my voice to affect my emotions. When I chant in yoga, I am choosing to use my voice to express self-love, clarify my mind, and unite my spirit with the divine.
